Earth Team is a non-profit environmental education service provider. The organization was formed by a coalition of educational, environmental, and governmental representatives who saw a need to provide curriculum connected environmental programs for high schools. In recent years, Earth Team has grown from an all-volunteer run organization to a reliable and influential force in the environmental education community throughout the East Bay, CA.
Earth Team programs focus on youth development, environmental issues (waste reduction, climate change, transportation systems and air quality, watershed restoration) and emphasize hands-on experiences that drive change and innovation. The organization is committed to maintaining relationships with community partners and working hard to serve schools with limited resources and students who are often underrepresented in STEM and Environmental careers. Earth Team programs and outdoor excursions inspire students to develop a relationship with the outdoors, and encourage student leadership, peer-to-peer education, teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and the use of information technology. Earth Team provides the opportunity for young, eager individuals to make impactful changes while growing and learning immensely.
